Teacher Told Her Deaf Students That Farts Make Sound And Their Reaction Was Amusing

Normal people are not good at sign language to communicate with the deaf people as they can't hear at all, and it is not possible to explain everything. To live as an equal in society, it is 2 times more hard for them to do the daily task, and 10 times harder to communicate with other people.

But she recently experienced something funny after which she decided to take to social media to make a difference. The story was funny, but it inspired her to share information and made it a personal topic.

She posted about passing gas in public. Yes, you read it right! A six-year-old farted in her class, and it was loud enough for the whole class to hear it. After which the whole class started laughing, but the student who did it was unaware and was surprised by the reaction of the class.

The student was deaf, and unaware that farts make sounds. So Trupiano took to Facebook, to share the same with all the deaf people around the world.

Trupiano said,

“I know it started with farts, but the real issue is that many of my students aren’t able to learn about these things at home or from their peers because they don’t have the same linguistic access. So many of my students don’t have families who can sign well enough to explain so many things it’s incredibly isolating for these kids.”

As a teacher, she strives to make people aware of these bodily functions, so that the deaf could live in society as equals. As the family of the deaf, are not quite good at explaining everything with the help of sign language. She also inspires others to learn sign language to help deaf people can communicate better.

Trupiano said, “I would love to see a world where my students can learn about anything from anyone they interact with during their day. Whether that means learning about the solar system, the candy options at a store, or even farts, it would be so great for them to have that language access anywhere they go.” Below is a video of conveying the message to the deaf about farts.
